Democrat Martin O’Malley: GOP’s Take On Economy “Bulls–t”
Ah Leftists, such classy folk. Notice like every other imperious leftist, once he pronounces it, that’s the “last word”, no one may question.
This from a guy voted out because he led his state to virtually dead last in the country in economic growth, 49/50, with 40 consecutive tax hikes, including his infamous tax on rain.
Quote:Possible presidential contender Martin O’Malley (D) on Monday mocked Republican arguments that federal regulations keep poor and middle-class people from moving up the economic ladder.
“It is not true that regulation holds poor people down, or regulation keeps middle class from advancing,” O’Malley, the former governor of Maryland, said Monday in an interview with NPR’s Steve Inskeep. “That’s kind of patently bulls—.”
“That’s quite a last word, by the way, on that subject. … I’m just going to leave it right there,” Inskeep responded.
O’Malley said working-class people are hurt by a tax code that is riddled with special interest loopholes. He said “the concentrated wealth and accumulated power and the systematic deregulation of Wall Street” is responsible for an economy that “isn’t working for most of us.”
O’Malley is considering challenging Hillary Clinton (D) for the Democratic presidential nomination. In recent weeks, he’s become increasingly aggressive in attacking the former secretary of State.

Terrible governor, total nutjob.
He did such a good job in Maryland that after he quit, they (one of the most liberal states in the country) elected a Republican governor.

I'm cheering him on hoping he will bring every one of slimy Hillary's dealings to the MSM out front and center. If he and Sanders do it, she can't cry about the "vast right wing conspiracy".

When you don't have a leg to stand on, degrade and cuss about the oposition's position with a friendly host that will support and end the discussion for you.

Just to correct the facts. O'Malley did not "quit". He could not run again due to term limits.

Apparently folks were quite thankful for this policy.

Eh, he's taking a stance, I'll give him credit for that. I'd rather have politicians whose positions I know than one who pussyfoot around an answer.

Nothing like calling your opposition's position "bull****". That's sure to lead to positive discourse.

Well, I'm assuming that isn't all he's ever said on the matter. if he hasn't, and that's literally his official stance, then yeah he's an idiot. But I again doubt that's the case.

Well by your definition, he's an idiot then because he didn't expand on it or offer any defense of his position. He simply flung poo and ran. He is using it to fund raise though. How classy.

Well, that's not at all true, did you bother to actually read the story? That comment was literally the end of his interview, and the article goes on to describe how he had during that interview made comments about a variety of issues within that topic.

I just read two different articles about it, one from Salon, and the other i don't remember, but both said that they wished he had expanded on his comment rather than simply leaving it at his one off comment. The rest of his comments focused on issues other than the economy as it relates to Rubio's stance on deregulation. He did not defnend nor offer alternatives with regards to regulations or deregulation.

I would view those regulatory comments as relating to the economy.
