How in the world did GSU do it again? This seasons schedule also does not include the 2 best teams in the Sun Belt..Please other SB schools step up and knock these GSU clowns down a notch...They are delusional as can be, someone put them in their place!

Yeah, I can't even take them serious right now.
I thought it was impressive that they won the Sun Belt in their first year until I realized they didn't play the 2 best teams in the conference.
Now we find out that they are avoiding the 2 top teams again this year?
WOW

I know right! And they were the ones clamoring on this board about how nobody from CUSA wants to play them because they're scared. Heck, they won't even play the best teams in their own conference!!! They look to be the one scared. GSU Paper Tigers of the Sun Belt.

Kinda like Marshall's schedule of not having to play in Texas for the 2nd year in a row, must be nice.

It is nice.
I think we have paid our dues in this conference so I'm not worried about it.
I will admit that I think its an advantage for us, but it will most likely never happen again.
We also went to the FIU 2 years in a row, not sure how that is fair either.

We also went to Tulsa two times in a row and play AT all the good east div teams while WKU has them all at home. You cant poop a pooper. We lost the 2013 CCG AT Rice when the rules set beforehand by the conf said it shoulda been in WVa. They waited 5 days late last yr past the appointed time to announce to see if LT was in the CFPO...lol.

You can't really fault them for waiting until it was absolutely official to announce the site.
While it was obvious Marshall was going to end up ahead of La Tech in the computer polls that made the difference, the conference should wait until those polls are final before they formally make an announcement.

Ask any player on your team if they would rather play FIU @Marshall or @FIU and I bet it's 85% in favor of playing @FIU. The other 15% must have girlfriends and they are whipped

pretty sure that they went past the announced time to declare a site. Yr before was robbery. Everybody is in a hate the Herd mood just because of a few bad eggs but wait till some of these other fans have a reason to crow and it will be the same thing.

I think we already seen that early in the basketball season..
neither team that did it won conference USA...regular season or tourney. But if you listen to what they were saying it really shouldn't have been a race..
well two team race
I can honestly say I don't think you will see Western fans showing this type of fronting. Maybe from a couple but you will also see three times that amount telling them to stop being foolish

Pretty sure they would prefer a home game, in front of fans cheering for them.

I'm fairly certain you are wrong...
I don't think the 18 to 22 year olds playing at Marshall are that much different than at Western. Like I said most look forward to 80 degree temps, sunshine, beaches with scantly clad girls, for 3 days in mid to late Nov more than a home game.

Then you are recruiting the wrong type of players. This isn't a vacation. Any trip during football season is a business trip.
I am willing to bet that our kids would much rather play in front of 28-30k fans at home as opposed to going to one of the F_Us.

I love it! First it was GS couldnt compete the first couple years in the SB, we end up undefeated in first year conference play, now its GS didnt play the best two teams in the conference. GS did whip App pretty good, who did beat the two best teams, plus GS didnt have control over the schedule. Marshall fans complained about not getting any respect during their undefeated season until losing in the end. Now they no why. Its pretty clear that GS was the best team in the SB regardless of not playing ULL and Ark St. By the way, I would say that GS's schedule and performance from last season are more impressive than Marshalls.

WOW
GS did not avoid these teams. They had no control over the schedule the first couple years in conference. GS's AD has gone on record saying he will play any team. He has gone out of his way trying to schedule Conf USA teams. The schedule was given to GS the first two seasons in the Belt as is. So you can stop with the avoiding stuff, we have always been known for not avoiding anyone.

You're hanging your hat on close losses, man. I like GS and think you guys had a good team last year but you didn't really beat anybody. What was your best win last year? TxSt? ULM? App was terrible at the beginning of the season last year. You didn't beat anyone close to NIU, La Tech, Rice or MT.
