Only the Texas kids that can't get into the Texas schools. That ought to drive up the average intelligence level of the UAT students.
It would be a self-disparaging article, but I think it is time that either the K-Scope or CW... Maybe the Bham News... looks at the intellectual capital that the "capstone" is cultivating. What we will find is that the State of Alabama is not fostering academic and intellectual development through UAT, and the culture allowed to fester and take control is to blame.

Shouldn't they have already finished growing? Haven't they been around since the 1800's or whatever? That's not a stat I'd get excited about if I were them.

Witt sent this out to UA Alums tonight
When my parents were at UA, it had about 13,000 students. Thirty years later when I enrolled, there were roughly 18,000 students. In the 13 years since I graduated, UA has practically doubled its enrollment.
What's really striking is that virtually all of the non-academic buildings that were around when my parents were students still existed when I was a student. That would not be the case today, much less by the time I have a child old enough to attend college. I lived behind the president's mansion in New Hall, and now almost the entire south side of campus is occupied by Greek houses. The north side has been obliterated beyond recognition.
