There goes our recruiter. He's a good coach as was Richie Riley. We lost out on a lot of potential guards when Riley jumped to Clemson.

Haase has been pushing this, talking about letting his assistants make decisions.

Good for him, VMI is a place where he could definitely succeed. Winnable conference every year.

I trust that Haase is aware of Ehsan's ambitions and has enough connections to hire a solid replacement.

If we want a successful program, we are going to lose assistants to bigger jobs.(a hc job>an assistant position). It would be a big loss, but Haase has done a good job getting assistants in the past.

Ehsan is a good coach and will probably make a good head coach, but I kind of think he will hold out for a better job than VMI.

In fact, if he waited and believed in the potential of the team we should have next year, he would probably get a better job than VMI.

I agree. Unless his financial situation is such (with a newborn) that he needs to take the opportunity for a big salary increase.

If we aren't losing assistants to head coaching jobs annually, we are doing it wrong. Kentucky, Duke, UNC, and the like go through this every year. I'm very proud of Coach Ehsan.

One good thing is if he gets the job at VMI, it is doubtful because of the type of school it is, he brings anyone he has been recruiting for UAB.

Won't be surprised if Ehsan's name comes up in the UT-Chattanooga HC search.
