I have always believed it is hard for more than 1 person to keep a secret for very long. In this case I have read here that there is a committee of 4 plus the AD. It's amazing that apparently a decision has been made and the selection has not leaked out. I believe if I am looking for a Private Investigator I won't be looking for one on this Board. That said, I have to believe 1 or possibly 2 who post here do know who has been chosen and are sworn to secrecy. Just my thoughts.

I think if MJS's info is correct, the committee doesn't make the decision. As it should be. They just submit their top two choices, which might actually be three, and Chasse makes the final decision.

I'm not sure anyone but Chasse and the Chancellor know at the moment. I would think the 4 who did not get the job will be told they are out. They will likely tell people and maybe even announce they have "withdrawn" as a candidate for the job. But I have seen no sign of that yet. Something will leak tomorrow.
