Ah! Well, I hope you're enjoying it! Still have a soft spot for it after spending my first 18 years living on Judy Lane. Wouldn't mind returning to live there one day, but I don't think my wife would ever do so willingly. It doesn't help that my mom constantly tells me stories about my ex-classmates that she ran into at Wal-Mart and who they married and what they're doing now and why they moved back home. It really is a small community compared to my wife's Cobb County upbringing.

Also, my last name is Linneman. If by any chance you've ever interacted with the Americus Linnemans, well, that's my family! (As stupid as that sounds, I know there's a chance.)

Toyota is Lexus. But give me a Lexus every single time. Just like Kroger and Harris Teeter

I went to that Bucc-ee's and another massive one that size near Houston while in the great state of Texas for work in January. Those are impressive places!

I'm not a native of Texas, and it shows. I avoid Buc-ees like the plague. Lines at the gas pumps. Lines at the check out counters. Easily can cost you 30 minutes for a simple gas stop without eating. But one nice thing about Buc-ees that is nice is that the gas stations in competition with them have really cheap gas. I suppose if one had kids it would be nice for them to stop at. I prefer the gas station/BBQ joint Rudy's. At least if I'm stopping there, I can sit down and have something halfway decent to eat.

But back to the OP. You know you're in a small town where the best (and usually only) take out food available is at the gas station (usually Chester Fried Chicken). Or when your parents demand that you get them a newspaper before 8am on Sunday (because they sell out and the next place to get one is 30 miles away).

Weird, I've never had to wait in line at any Buc ee's that I've ever been to.

The Buc ees at the exit on 1-10 for San Marcos is very crowded. The one on 1-10 east of Houston is new and less crowded.

I think the first one you mentioned is the one in Luling. I had mentioned in another post that I had been to that one before. A few times actually. Never had trouble with lines. Perhaps just a coincidence that I'm going when they're slow and you during a rush.

I like it except for those freaky bug eyes!

New Orleans isn't a small town but I've always liked this crazy home spun commercial.
