Whether or not you want to call it race, a lot of the moral justification of slavery comes from teleology, that things have a purpose in life and the purpose of 'other people' has been historically to be servitude, be they a different race, caste or from a different place (such as Phoenician, Roman and Viking slavery) or of a different religion as we saw in the Holocaust, the Arabic slave trade in Europe which involved Eastern Europeans (in fact the term Slavic has the same origin as slave because that's what Eastern Europeans were) who were not Abrahamic. There are many more examples, it all comes from the same place.

But even if you use your strict definition of race then the Arab slave trade in Africa fits your description of skin color determining status.

As I said - go learn some history on slavery. It was done almost globally at different times.

And it gets even weirder because ironically, Kaminsky being on the receiving end of such a slur is actually a perverse sign of respect. Look, this game was the inverse of UK v Western Texas where a bunch of white guys beat the nation's dominate team which was made up of mostly black players. The casual manner in which Harrison said it is evidence of game recognizing game.
