The knock against Johnson in the NBA was that he was bossy and authoritative. That didn't go over well with grown men, pros, who already knew the game and in most cases came from big programs. It may fly better with kids who are trying to get to the league, if an NBA guy wearing a ring who coached in the NBA tells them this is how to do it, to get there.

Again, a really big issue is going to be the assistants.

A discussion of Alabama's new basketball coach is very much UAB related since we will be recruiting against them. It is much more UAB related that your continued Roll Tide schtick.

There have been football thread or sports threads that have discussed UA or Auburn and the NBR has been thrown out and critisized. So now the shoe is on the other foot. But if you don't like it, put me on ignore. I'm not BBF, I bite back.
And if you keep giving me negative rep without a justified reason we can get the mods involved, MB.

I'm pretty sure threatening to bite someone is against the AUP, as well as extremely childish and silly.

And I've already involved the mods, so no concern here.

The thread is about a link where someone said Alabama should hire Haase. How is that not UAB related. Instead it is an opportunity for you to continue your cyber stalking.

MB has a point. We recruit directly against the two $EC whores and who they hire impacts us.

In football, we live in different worlds, and who their coach was has never made a dime's worth of difference to UAB's football fortunes.

Most definitely. Also, it is getting into a dead period on the board. More nbr stuff always starts to show up this time of year.

With all infighting aside, the future (in Alabama) is going to be shaped by how successfully the major teams can keep good assistant coaches and can recruit nationally ranked players to come to a "football state". The next two years should indicate whether the UAB, UA or AU staffs will bring home the bacon and lead competition inside the state. Maybe all three will become nationally respected programs, and for a "football state" that would be revolutionary.
