Man.. I love ODU football and pumped for that to start in a few months, but I can't remember the last time I was this excited about the future of the basketball program.

Good stuff. I would think we're looking pretty good. Things are coming together.

He was never even recruited by any other school except Virginia.

Question: I know Bryant Stith makes good money as an assistant, but it isn't THAT good. Is he really paying for both these kids' tuition and room and board out of his own pocket or is there some kind of non-athletic workaround he can use as an ODU employee?

Is this the first time ODU had brothers on the same team? (I've only been following since 2009)

Bryant was in the NBA for a long time. He also owns a NASCAR team with fellow Emporia native, Hermie Sadler. From all accounts I hear he's very good with his money. I think he'll be fine. lol.

He won't leave as long as his kids are here. That gives us 4 more years at least, by my count.

Still quite a sacrifice to basically give a third of your gross income back to your employer. Tells me Bryant is here for the long run, or at least 4 more years.

wasn't McDermott a walk-on for Creighton while his dad was coaching? maybe that doesn't apply to assistant coaches...

pretty sure he gets a tuition discount as an employee:)
