Freeman - Best Single Game Performance in ODU History?
I think given his injury, his guts, his astonishing play, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat and sending us to the Big Apple and the Final Four of the NIT, that was the greatest single game performance in ODU History. On top of that, I think Trey and this team just created a whole new generation of Monarch fans. Games like that make fans for life.

The only thing that comes close in my mind was the Women's victory against Stanford that sent us to the championship game against Tennessee.

My younger brother who is in high school and rarely if ever watches ODU basketball texted me after that game telling me that shot was crazy. I have never been more excited during an ODU basketball game as I have been in that moment. I was shaking even when I was driving home, I still cant believe it haha

The one I remember as legend was Drew's shot from mid-court to beat Mason. Can't remember what year that was. It became a "fish story" over the years....growing the shot being put up at mid-court to be shot from Hampton Blvd or the Naval Base!! Tonight outdid anything I remember.

If we won the game, Loughton's 45 point performance against UNC-C would be up there

Trey is the No. 1 Sport Center Play if the Day and they are only letting people vote for No. 2 because Trey is a lock!

Trey is also trending on twitter and has been all night. Plus the number one play. ODU is getting a lot of exposure tonight due to this man

That was the year we went to the NIT Final Four, because Mason went to the Final Four that year.

The only other one that gives this shot a run for its money is little Jazzmin Walters' three to beat UVA in the NCAA Tourney...which is still the loudest crowd I've ever heard at the Ted.

I was at that game! That was crazy too!

Not to take anything away from Trey but I would have to go for Petey Sessoms 36 points against Villanova in Albany in the NCAA 1st round triple OT upset. The 3 FTs he made to tie the game were epic.

I would take it a step further and say it may be the top games an ODU TEAM has ever played!

RE: Freeman - Best Single Game Performance in ODU History?
It may not have been the best single game performance, but considering his limited play in the last game it has to be on the short list. The crowd was electric again last night. We held them to just 5 makes from 3 (they made 15 3s in their last game). We earned a trip to MSG. We remained perfect at home for the season.

Only been following since 06-07, but that was by far the greatest shot I have seen in my time as a fan.
