This is very true.
I can leave my house in the very eastern part of Shelby County, hit I-40 and be in Jackson in about 45-50 min. Its a straight shot up the interstate from exit 20 to exit 80 and you can easily do about 80 mph in the 70 zones. Honestly its not much longer of a drive than going from my house to downtown Memphis (depending on traffic and all the damn construction at 40/240).

Again it has to be said that Greenville, NC, is closer to Raleigh, NC than Jackson, Tennessee is to Memphis Tennessee.
Hell DeKalb, Illinois is closer to Chicago (64 miles) than Greenville is to Raleigh and Jackson is to Memphis. I don't see any NIU fans claiming that they are in the Chicago DMA; even though the Chicago suburbs are spreading way out into the corn country that is DeKalb.
ECU gets to count 2 states North Carolina and East Carolina...stop your fussing.
This is true. You speak the truth.

if that happens, we should get Jackson TN...that would move Memphis to the 39-40 range.
Jackson TN is 1 hour, or 65 miles from the edge of Memphis (wolfchase area)
Dayton OH is around that far from Cincy.
This is a proposed merger of the TV markets. The northern tip of the Cincinnati DMA is in Middletown. The southern tip of the Dayton DMA is in Springboro. That is 9.17 miles apart.
The actual merger proposal is for CSA, not DMA. Dayton and Cincinnati would remain separate TV markets even with a CSA merger.

If Boone is in the Charlotte DMA then Greenville could be in the Raleigh DMA.
