UTEP Miner Athletics Uses Twitter To Put Down Their Own Player
A social media snafu has gotten a bunch of NBA Scout scented egg on the face of the Texas-El Paso athletics department.

That the best snaffo ive seen since our associate ad refused to hold up eagle walk for our ex president. She wanted them to wait while she took a quick 10-100. He said Im not waiting on her fat ass.

RE: UTEP Miner Athletics Uses Twitter To Put Down Their Own Player
This is very similar to something I heard happend to Arnte Moultrie and back when they were NBA prospects playing for the UTEP Miners.

A friend of mine said that Moultrie was threatened not to try the draft because if he did, they would let NBA teams know that he wasn't a team player. Consequently, he transfered to Miss. St.

Could this be something that was done purposely to keep Hunter from trying the draft?

Your friend was mistaken. That never happened. Furthermore, it is not what is happening here.

This was nothing more than a pompous administrator putting his foot in his mouth twice.

You're probably right. But you never know.

Early in the year Hunter was getting a lot of playing time and was Wowing the scouts. Then all of the sudden, he got benched and his minutes dropped significantly. Makes you wonder if there is something behind the scenes going on.

Am I misreading your intent or are you seriously trying to say a coach would bench or cut their best players minutes just to try and keep him around for another year?

If you actually meant it that way it's one of the stupidest things I read in a while. That is if you actually believe a coach would do that..

Have you met fitbum before? If not, stay tuned! Something equally stupid will be posted by him at the very first opportunity to bash UTEP or El Paso.

I'm considering the possibility that Hunter has gotten to big for his britches and is on his way out.

Should he leave, it would have little to nothing to do with what was posted on Twitter by Jeff Darby (who is a friggin idiot). Hunter's had NBA scouts scoping his game all season. He knows there's interest, albeit minimal. Still, oftentimes that's all the player needs to make his decision. If he leaves, I wish him all the luck. UTEP Basketball will continue on.

Stull: Floyd isn't trying to win 26 or 27 games every year like Doc and Gallespie did. He's trying to bring good teams to play in El Paso

Floyd in ktsm 9 interview minutes ago. Saying : I could have won 26 or 27 games but we chose to play a tough schedule and we came in second.

Tough schedule, is fine... But he is still trying to BUILD the program... He needs to schedule accordingly. The one thing that bugs me about Floyd is his stubborn mentality. Yet he acts a fool often on national tv and the athletic dept seems to be ok with it... If Hunter leaves, then leave. Like was said above, UTEP basketball will continue and Hunter will see he needed to work on some more stuff...

RE: UTEP Miner Athletics Uses Twitter To Put Down Their Own Player
I do enjoy watching the Miners in those early tourney's... and I dont see how the schedule was that tough, outside of AZ. The biggest question is why has his team been unable to play decent offense and recruit a decent/average PG.

The message is clear coming from both Stull and Floyd. A 20 win season is a successful one regardless of whether they make the tourney or not. They are stuck in the 80s.

Am I the only one sick of this crap?

Intent behind the threads is as obvious as the horrible spelling (for a high school teacher).
