I don't really see UVA and g tech in a 16 team big 10 setup, makes more sense at 18 with 2 more ACC school's. However, i'm not sure how you operate such an 18 team big 10. My view is for the big 10 to crack the acc they would need to

1) invite UVA and V tech to jump to 16
2) invite UVA, UNC, Duke and x to jump to 18
3) invite FSU as team 15.

Yet, the better move for acc/espn would be to merge the big 12 into the acc.

GT isn't leaving the ACC.

But how you run an 18 team league?

In football having 2 9 team leagues would schedule 1-2 games against the other division they are treated like OOC games and then there is a championship game that would rarely be a rematch.

His theory is to make the B12 look stronger, and WVU's decision look better, he tries to make the ACC look weaker.

I don't believe you have to receive compensation for a contract to be valid. In any case, every member of the ACC benefited from the GoR. Amending a contract does not void it either. Adding ND to the ACC GoR does not weaken or void the contract.

FSU didn't actually cut their budget. They reallocated 2% to cover FCOA.

RE: The DUDE of WV
Hypothetically speaking -- the moment WVA received an ACC invitation, the Dude's schtick would be over.

As it is, yes, he needs to make the Big 12 be perceived as strong as possible, as to strengthen WV's profile, at the expense of the ACC.

What he either fails to realize or chooses to ignore is that WV is one Texas ego trip from being a wandering entity like TCU was before it joined the league.

What's sad is the number of folks who fall for it on the daily.
