What's the low down on this team? All I know is that they are the highest ranked team playing in either tier 3 tournament and the #2 team in the southland behind 12 seed Stephen F Austin.

They start 4 seniors, all of which were either first or second team all-conference. #35, Michael Holyfield, looks like a load. He doesn't score that much, but was conference defensive player of the year.

Like solo I would like to know more about this team. As an athletic program they certainly are on the rise, quickly I might add. Their football program all of a sudden is a player at their level, and bball appears to be doing the same thing.

SHSU has gone 127-59 in the last 6 seasons under current Head Coach Jason Hooten. They're one of only 52 schools that have won 20+ games in 4 of the last 5 years.

The Southland Conference is weak, which is the only reason why they aren't in the NIT. Had they managed to split the season series with Stephen F. Austin they'd probably be in.

Please keep me updated guys. I'll be at baseball tonight until at least 9 so will miss basically the whole game.

I'm going to miss most of the game as well. PTA and Open House at my son's school.

Keep a good eye on youtube for viral videos. Someone says something crazy (not at all out of the realm of possibilities in a California PTA meeting) and things might get spicy in a hurry.
