RE: Basketball coaching changes
Former Cornell and Boston College coach Steve Donahue has been hired by Penn.

He was a very good assistant at Penn before a successful tenure at Cornell. He just couldn't make the recruiting leap from the non-scholarship Ivy to the ACC. This is a great hire for Penn.

UNC Charlotte has already scheduled an interview with Tennessee-Chattanooga's coach. Wofford's coach will likely be on the interview list as well once the Terriers are eliminated from the NCAA Tournament.

Surprisingly few so called "high major" programs on the list. I find this a bit interesting.

Fordham has fired Tom Pecora. Not a surprise.

Georgia Tech will retain former UT assistant Brian Gregory as head coach.

Arkansas-Little Rock has fired Steve Shields.

Jim Boeheim announced that he will retire from Syracuse in three year. That odd announcement was made shortly after Daryl Gross, the AD, was fired or demoted.

RE: Basketball coaching changes
You can throw Alcorn State onto your list.

Another ASU, Arizona State, could also fire its coach. Former Miami coach Herb Sendek has a meeting with the AD today.

Sendek is probably gone. ASU may be pursuing the Memphis coach. What a way to make a living.
