So basically at this point MaddDawg has become a parody or himself.

I don't see it as party vs party, I see it as evil vs good, largest state sponsor of terror vs only real democracy in the region. Our government is on the wrong side of this fight, plain and simple.

Out of curiosity, were you one of those people screaming for President Obama's birth certificate?

No I certainly was not, and I was not one questioning his radical associations. However, the past 1-2 years of his presidency have been very alarming. I had my doubts about Obama since he was elected, and the past 2 years have just really been worrisome and have kind of played out all the fears people had when he was elected. He promised to be a uniting force in Washington, have the most transparent presidency in our history. The cold hard fact is that he is at his best when he is dividing people, and is also the least transparent president in our history. I could deal with all those problems though, we have had incompetent presidents before. Damage is done but then you move on. However, his "fundamental transformation" of the United States is what has been so damaging. The disdain he has for our democracy-loving allies, the disdain he has for our military. It is hard to recognize this country anymore from its once prominent standing. I know he believes he is leveling out things for perceived centuries of America overexerting its power. He feels America should be weakened right now because it has arrogantly been the super power. We have seen what happens though when America stops being the super power and pulls out from a world leadership position...things go to hell in a hurry. Much like when the substitute teacher comes to class, its playtime for the low elements of this world. I just hope the damage done these past 6 years is not irreversible.

Unfortunately, the cold hard fact is that when you start a sentence off with "the cold hard fact is..." and then list something that is completely your opinion, you look like an idiot.

I truly feel sorry for you. I really do.

It's aggravating and silly to read your nonsense and delusional views about NIU and the MAC. It's a whole other ball game when you're this detached from reality in real world issues.

By dividing people you mean having policies that you don't agree with.

The more conservative wing of the house, of which you probably align with the most, are certainly not trying to strike any deals or bargains. The president spent four years trying to work out deals and he learned there was no deal to be made. Its easier to play the game. Republicans actually get less of what they want by playing this all or nothing game. They've been losing this game for a couple of years now. All they need to do is get some give and take and maybe they won't get nothing every time. Face it. The right taught Obama to play this game.

Come on. Obama is the one who gave nothing the Republicans on the ACA, because, well, he didn't need to. He had the votes. He's also the one who gave McCain the "I won" speech during that same debate. You remember his Republicans can ride in the back of the bus b.s.?

I'm tired of this. There is too much childishness on both sides. Obama could have deflated this whole debate on the Iran negotiations by saying I'll bring this to the Senate. But, he didn't. Its better for both sides to behave like children. I held GWB (holding the office of the President) to higher standards than I expect of Dick Durbin, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid. It is too bad the Democrats don't expect the same of Obama. Naw, better for him to be a child too.

I believe if the right would have been willing to honestly negotiate the details of the ACA it would have insured even more people and saved more lives because it wouldn't have become a political football.

Instead, the right abandoned a law that it basically created years ago and which was essentially a compromised position of the left who would have preferred universal coverage.

First of all, this bears little resemblance to the plan proposed by Heritage, which I assume to which you are referring. And, to say that is the plan of the right is a great overreach.

The only reason Obama compromised on universal coverage is because he needed the bluedog Democrats to vote with him. He compromised within his own party, solely.

Really?

Were you criticizing GWB when he gave 43 million to the Taliban in May 2001..known to be harboring OBL. Did you criticize him when he dismissed Clinton administration warnings about the urgency of getting him. Did you criticize Bush when his administration ignored a sharp increase terrorist chatter and even an intelligence briefing that warned of an attack on US soil. Did you criticize Bush when he made his "agreement" with North Korea...

Were you criticizing Reagan when he turn and ran from Beirut..or when he negotiated with terrorists...or when he funded the contras in violation of US law...or how about Grenada..

Did you criticize Israel when they were found to be supplying weapons to Iran in 1980...

I could go on...
I do bet you criticized Clinton when sent bombs into areas of Afghanistan and Sudan, known to have AQ camps during the Monica scandal..
I am sure you criticized Clinton after Black Hawk Down...or the Cole bombing..

Reread what I said. You missed the point. I was comparing the office of the President to a Senator or a Rep.

And, yes, I criticized Bush a lot. A lot.
