Dallas, TX
MBB - Allen Event Center (Allen, TX: 6-7k capacity)
WBB - Dr Pepper Arena (Frisco, TX: 6k capacity)
Both venues are 11.4 miles from each other.
Big airports (DFW or Love Field), tons of hotel, shopping, many CUSA schools have a sizable alumni base in DFW area, large media market.

Nashville would be great, but the SEC is there.
The North Dallas idea is great, and I don't really think UNT would gain a significant advantage. It's not right there in their town, just down the interstate a little.

That's a good option...for the West.

If it were in Nashville, I'd definitely go.
Now if we can just get the SEC to move their tournament out of Nashville...

New Orleans, in UNO's arena. I'd be shocked if there were 750 people in the arena for the Sun Belt championship game.

I hope not, or if so they better have another venue besides the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. That place is one massive dump and it has an odor that's hard to explain inside. Been in that place enough from 95-05 for hockey games.
Well, Katrina gave it a good power wash. Whatever you were smelling back then probably got replaced shortly afterward.

It's because GSU and Georgia Southern fans aren't going to travel all the way to New Orleans for a tournament. This is exactly why the tournament needs to be split

I think the tourney should rotate to the following cities:
1. Boca Raton/Ft. Lauderdale
2. Austin, Texas
3. Nashville
4. El Paso

1st, go a week early to Nashville.
2nd New Orleans.
3rd Atlanta very easy to fly into.
If split heard the Biloxi MS, rumour, I'm ok. Maybe spring break get the students down there.
I like the men's and women's in same town, gives you a couple game options, plus the AD and staff aren't sprend around to thin.

RE: Nuetral Site options
Actually just saw someone posted Boca Raton/Ft Lauderdale. Love that one. Plus don't have to worry about home court advantage. Bring 300 and you got home court. Lots of beaches, hotels, and good transportation. Might get some students. Nice break for everyone after the winter.

Why couldn't we play at the municipal auditorium or the new convention center in Nashville while the SEC is at the Bridgestone arena? The Municipal auditorium would actually be a better fit for us compared to the much larger Birdgestone arena.

You guys realize that a lot of these places you all are naming does not really solve the hometown advantage problem you all are bitching about. Nashville, Boca, Charlotte, and Biloxi to an extent would all create a home game feel for someone.

SEC uses Bridgestone Arena. OVC uses the Municipal Auditorium. Why can't we use the brand new zillion dollar convention center?

I like Chattanooga or Destin, FL area as a neutral option.

There's not going to be a neutral option. Spend your energy figuring out how your community can make it worth the conference's while to let you host it.

RE: Nuetral Site options
LT, ODU, WKU, MT, & UAB all had good crowds... USM would have brought the 2nd or 3rd biggest crowd had they been eligible, no doubt.
A neutral site will be hard for CUSA. A huge amount of UAB's resources & people were used to make this tournament work. Who's going to pay for outside resources to handle all that? This neutral-site idea isn't a viable option for C-USA currently.

RE: Nuetral Site options
Boca doesn't have any home court advantage, they avg what 1,500 and they're old. I say let's do it, think of the fun stuff they could do. Have golf outing, student volleyball or Bbal. Pep band battles on the beach. We could do a bunch of fun things and maybe get some student down there. You think FAU will run the table down there, ok I'm not too worried. They went 1-11 last 12 games with only win over our conference champs UAB in front of maybe 800.
