The only thing more annoying than people braying about how good a recruit will be based off rankings are people who constantly point out how they mean nothing. Stars don't define a player, but they sure as hell are a pretty consistent indicator of talent. Regardless of those who want to point out exceptions.

Dazon starts from day 1 in my eyes.

Collins is done as far as I know. Both he and CJ got recognized at senior day for playing their final home game.

That was the plan until now probably, he might have an extra year and spend it at a D2 school if he choose to since he was honored on senior day.

According to Coach Hasse, Collins has no division 1 eligibility remaining.

I've never known a coach who could not find a scholarship if he needed one.

I hate that though. Doesn't look like it will be an issue this year.

I get it, I know everyone wants Norton to be Ben Craft from Ohio St. I just don't see it. If you can get a true difference maker to commit you do it. That's all I am saying.

AJ and Norton can't be compared for a variety of reasons.

One being Norton can shoot a jumper from day 1?

Revisionist history on AJ is quite bizarre in my opinion. AJ was a great player, and a great leader, but somehow we seem to think he averaged 20,10 and 5 when talking about him now. He had his flaws, for all four years. Norton has his flaws.

Both guys are Blazers, and ultimately that is all we should care about.

Just an interesting note, watts has come on strong at the end of both seasons. It'd be nice if he had consistent play all year next season.

He retweeted the story about Haase's raise. That's a good sign.

He's just seen 6 million reasons that Haase will be around when he graduates. That kind of consistency may be important to some players.

IMO there is little doubt UAB will be in this final list of 10. It would be a surprise if we weren't, actually.
