RE: OT: Stony Brook
As bad as the CAA was this year, Maine is still not good enough for an invite.

Even if they were it wouldn't matter due to their location.

You were the 29th-ranked league in the NCAA this season. And your school went 3-27 this year. 338th in the RPI out of 351 schools. Yikes.
You only show up when bad things happen for the CAA, but never have any reason to crow about the America East other than a CIT victory by a school that is not your own. Wonder why that is?
Maine stinks in men's hoops.......but when your best players transfer to K-State and Kent State and you have a brand new coach......don't know what to tell you.
Now back to the CAA.......AE is 1-0 vs. the CAA in post season.......and that was on the road.......and it wasn't even Albany or Stony Brook.
The CAA is in trouble.......Yeager has cobbled together a hodge podge line-up of schools for conference survival but not much else. UNCW should be doing anything that it can to get into the A-10 with the Southern as a back-up.
"Yeager is in trouble"...LOL.
It's teams from your own conference who want to come here.
When we are looking for expansion candidates like NJIT and UMass Lowell, then I will be worried...
AE is not looking at NJIT.......they are begging anyone to give them a home.
Don't sleep on UMass-Lowell.......just like we told you not to sleep on the SUNYs.

Location is not an issue. You've got to be good enough first, before location is even a thought.

Trust me......location is ALWAYS an issue with Maine.

Makes me wonder why a bright fellow like yourself chose to be a Black Bear in the first place.

Why wonder? It's not worth worrying about. I'd concentrate of how to get UNCW out of the CAA and into a better athletic situation long term.

Working on it. But for now I like having a couple of southern partners that aren't in Atlanta. It's not the worst place to be. A-10 is the prize.

Absolutely. I am amazed that Yeager got C of C to join......MAJOR error on their part!

No, not really. Much like the America East, the SoCon is a conference that was already weak AND got even worse after losing Davidson. The SoCon is basically a slightly better, southeastern America East that has decent baseball. They made the right call, especially since the A-10 is probably in their sights as well to re-join Davidson.

Looks like you should have tried to keep Georgia State around.
