La Tech has moved ahead of USM and UTEP as most despised conference fan base.

MTSU may be my favorite. I like Western Kentucky's as well.

RE: La Tech message board game thread.
MT folks have never been anything but good people every time I've encountered them (whether here or in the Boro). They always have personally thanked my entourage for coming to away games. It was also cool to see all of them joining in to the FRW chant.

All the LT fans I encountered were very nice and gracious. That said I agree with MB. I'll throw in Rice fans. Love those folks.

That's true as well. The LT fans I met were good people.

That message board though, yeesh.

i would guess that, with almost every team, the fans that travel on the road to watch their team are much more pleasant in person than that same fan base comes across on a message board

You ought to go read that board, about the first ten or twelve threads in their basketball forum. That's a bunch of sphincter muscles posting over there.

Before I type this I will admit we don't travel well. That said, UTEP brought more fans than LT did. They just need to STFU. Nothing prevented them from taking over our arena. Lord knows we had plenty of empty seats.

Congrats guys. I was pulling for yall to beat LaTex. And before you ask , yes I am from Louisiana but we consider Tech and Ruston to be Southern Arkansas!
It is true that the Tech people that I have run into at football and basketball games have been super nice but it is hard to like a fan base that posts some of the trash they post on their message board. They are the whiniest, most delusional fans around and it is always nice to see them put in their place.
I think the football chant was also in very poor taste and I hope yall get that taken care of. No university deserves what Bama has done to yall.
Anyway, just wanted to pop on and say congrats and good luck.

If you are still around, "Hi" from a fellow Ragin' Cajun fan. Thanks for the kind words. I personally had another reason for wanting to beat La. Tech., I learned to hate the bulldogs as a USL student long ago.

LA. Tech played Syracuse & NC State out of conference. The rest of their opponents were a tour of Louisiana schools with Basketball teams

And we have beaten them both times we have played the last two years.
To my Cajun Brother out there, we can also use Wreck Tech.
