Yeah, because it's not like Pitt hasn't been to a BCS bowl lately! lmfao Go away troll and pray that Texas gives your pressure Cougars that 4 for 1 deal you crave!
Exactly, Pitt gets Home and Homes with Nebraska and Notre Dame yet he is saying Penn State should only give Pitt 2 for 1. What a dork.

When the BE splits and Memphis joins the SBE with the Liberty bowl we can set up a contract with the B-10. Then Pitt can play Penn St in the Liberty Bowl every couple of years and both schools and both conferences could make a lot of money and they won't have to fight over who plays where. But then JoPa will retire soon and the rivalries with Pitt, W. Virginia, Cuse, and Rutgers will begin again soon after he is gone. I love what Joe has done for PA and Penn St but he can be a bitter man if he wants to and it shows with his refusal to play the old eastern teams even up home and home.

Well Cincy has a ton of history with several of the Eastern Schools. On 5/1/05 I remember saying not welcome to Cincy but Welcome Home where you always belonged but somehow never were there.

My impression of the LIBERTY BOWL movers and shakers is that they would like a match-up between the conference that MEMPHIS is in and the conference that UT is in, providing that both were BCS conferences. Some of them hold degrees from both in-state universities.
If MEMPHIS were to become a BIGEAST member, I think that bowl would become a BIGEAST/SEC match-up. I don't think the B10 would be considered. This then would not address any PITT/PENN STATE issue.
Either way, it would ignore the issue of whether 2 state rivals who have played for 100 years should meet each other EVERY YEAR.

How can Memphis join if they only won 2 FB games in Conf USA last year....No, we don't want or need another BB school..........They are not ready yet .......If they have two solid years in a row in FB, they have a chance......

But how many in the last 10, 15 or 20 years?
Not taking a shot at Memphis, but it doesnt look as if Memphis will be able to sustain its success of 3 straight bowls.

Could it be said all of those 3 bowl games were due to just 1 player?
DeAngelo Williams?
DeAngelo wasn't around last year...and Memphis went 2-10.
Memphis has only been to 4 Bowl Games total (other one in 1971) since they started their football program in 1937.
From 1978-2002...Memphis only had 5 winning football seasons...and all 5 of them just barely with 6 wins during each of those seasons.
Memphis was a fun team to watch when DeAngelo was playing...now that he is gone...will Memphis win again in football?

I'd much more readily compare Marshall to Miami-Oh than UC. But, I guess you're generally correct.

Well...since PSU can earn over $4 Million in revenue from a non-conf home game...vs say just getting paid $500,000 for a road non-conf game...I can see 3.5 Million reasons why PSU wants as many home games as possible.
The "mega" revenue schools (aka Ohio St, Penn St, Florida, Notre Dame, Michigan, etc...), can basically do whatever they want.
Pitt's in the same boat. They're raking in huge coin for non-conference games so why bother with Penn State?
If you think Pitt and PSU are in the same boat...you don't know much about "boating".
Bottom line...PSU can draw 100,000 plus for any and EVERY home game!
Sure Pitt can get some good non-conf games like ND, and some middle-of-the road BCS schools like UVA & Michigan St...but its when Pitt has to play home games vs teams like the following (over the past 3 years):
Youngstown St Div I-AA
Citadel Div I-AA
Furman Div I-AA
Toledo
Ohio
The Ketchup Bottle (Heinz Field) looks more like a jar of mustard during those above games...with all the empty yellow seats.
That's why Pitt is not in the "same boat" as PSU...as PSU can draw 100,000 plus for any of the above...and Pitt...no where close.
The $$$$$$ PSU makes off all their home games...Pitt can't come close to touching it.

Yes... money is the same reason UCF won't be invited to the BE either.
