Anything with "MONARCHS" bigger than "OLD DOMINION" or seeing the word "UNIVERSITY" is something I will never buy.

The whole Old Dominion University goes way back to when Koch was president. He could not stand just Old Dominion or ODU. He even required employees of the University to use the full Old Dominion University when talking about the college. It was because he felt, and at the time probably rightfully so, that no one outside Hampton Roads knew who ODU was.

I'm going to have to hit up the bookstore soon.

Contract starts tomorrow. Maybe Harry has a sneak peek of the uniforms soon?

The contract with Nike does end until August 31st.

Yea the OP and story has we start Sept 1.

Seth Curry's jersey is the number one selling jersey. UA is really getting a boost, with Curry and the younger players.

My bad. I figured they would complete these type of contracts at the end of their FY.

Not terribly big news, but the Marching Band just got their new hats from Under Armour in recently. I'm a bit disappointed they're moving away from the shield logo, but it's a much bigger logo, so that's good.

The back is very nice. The front I would be disappointed too.

With the big shield on the front of the band uniform, I'm ok with dropping the shield from the hat. They need something that says ODU.

Everyone has their own opinion of course, but I think that hat is atrocious. That cartoonish crown is the worst ODU logo ever.

at least it was phonetically accurate...

I'm OK with the new hat. Alex gave me one of the old ones years ago but I have never worn it. It was a flimsy mesh, but this new one looks more sturdy.
