I've never been that impressed with Rhoades (the UH one), and I suspect most UH fans are more happy than upset. He's made some decent hires, but more bad ones than good ones in my opinion (and many of the decent ones are just replacing a bad hire of his to begin with).

Let's hope no Rice connections emerge as a candidate to replace him.

He has been shopping his resume ever since ground was broken on the football stadium. Agree with FBO I think most on Cullen will be happy. There seems to be somewhat of a turf war between Khator and Rhoades and now she gets to pick the new AD.

I can't wait to see the Lifetime Movie "Failing Upwards" The Mack Rhoades story. Khatour hand picked Mack…so not sure what's different now. I am told that Mack's deputy Hunter Yuracheck is a lock for the job. Frankly I think Mack gets too much credit for the facility building and I also think once the stadium investigation is complete, he won't be looking very rosy.

Also, I would have fired him on the spot for hiring James Dickey. The guy was coaching 8th grade girls' basketball and somehow got regurgitated into a D-1 job.

Yeah, that would be a Rice connection I'd hope they would utilize. I hear he comes with a "related" crew of assistants!
