RE: MBB: Toledo at Eastern Michigan
At least with being out of town there have been advantages - didn't have the ability to follow any of the games they just lost and it was 83 degrees today on the golf course.
As for the men's basketball team, if I were a betting man, I'd swear they were involved in another point shaving scandal (yeh, I just went there). It is meant to be sarcastic, but there are some parallels you could draw with the way they play defense and miss free throws in the games they have lost. BTW is Gary Manzi (or whatever his name is) in jail yet? Anybody seen Triplett or Villegas hanging around Savage?

The play was "scandalously" bad, in fact much too bad to suggest point shaving which is supposed to be a bit more subtle than what we saw Saturday. However, at one point while watching the game Saturday, the thought that did actually cross my mind was that "Sammy Villegas didn't play this badly when he was on the take".
