IF Unions are so Great WHY
do foreign Auto makers choose right to work states where the labor force doesn't have auto industry experience? Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, Hyundai have picked Right to Work states like TN, AL, SC, KY over MI which has a large experienced auto industry labor force many of whom are unemployed. Should we look for the Union Label? 03-lmfao

Not sure your thread title matches your point. I may be misinterpreting though.

Why don't foreign automakers choose unionized experienced workers over non-union inexperienced workers? Some posters on this board even said VW wanted their TN plant go union, if that's the case why didn't VW simply choose Detroit? Is the Union Label Detroit is branded with keeping foreign investment away?

I agree with your observation and contention, but shouldn't the title then be "If unions are so great..."

Because it's unskilled labor and you can treat them like crap and replace them easily.

A union in Europe is much different than one here. Big difference is the union has to have some skin in the game with the company.
