CAA Tourny/History Repeating itself?
They say it's difficult to beat a team 3 times in a season- kind of like what JMU is up against Saturday in the CAA Tourny vs. Hofstra. A reminder in 12-13 the Dukes beat W&M and Delaware for the third time in the CAA Tourny before beating Northeastern in the final. That year it was an unbalanced schedule and the Dukes had lost their prior game to Northeastern- albeit a closer game. This is a different NE team- that team was guard dominant- this team is more talented at Forward.

Also JMU got contributions from Cooke in the post season. Cooke really wasn't part of the rotation for a good part of the season and had an injury (broken non shooting arm) where he didn't play for a good portion of the season. Could Hall be a secret weapon in Baltimore and beyond?

People say that and I don't know the statistics on it in college hoops, but I seriously doubt that stats back that up. I know they don't in the NFL.

The stats definitely don't back it up. Part of that is due to many of the 3 times in a row being pretty big mismatches, but even when you normalize for expected results, the team that was beaten the first two times under perform expectations.

BTW in 12-13 JMU didn't have any 1st team all CAA players either but had a few on the CAA tournament team including AJ Davis as MVP.

We were on the good end of some close calls from the officials in 12-13, I certainly hope that repeats itself this year.
