They looked bored against Georgia while Georgia looked like they were hyped up and probably playing the best ball they possibly could. Despite Kentucky's boredom and Georgia's peak play, Kentucky walked away with the win at the end.

Kentucky has blown out some big programs outside of the SEC. They seem rather bored against much of the SEC while those SEC teams seem piqued for that match up. It's not surprising that such is the case for Kentucky.

They have gone undefeated all season and you are trying to say that winning six in a row will be tough for them?

Its no guarantee in the tourney. They should win, but it only takes one off night and one hot shooter on the other team.

Well of course that is the case. I cannot refute any of that. My point is, how can you possibly bet against Kentucky? Do you do brackets? Will you not pick them in your brackets to win it all?

Since everyone will be picking Kentucky, your best odds of winning your bracket may be to assume Kentucky gets knocked off, and pick two other teams to make it to the finals.

Yeah but then you Have to get one of them right. I would say the odds are much better to pick Kentucky winning it all than to pick two other teams that you could say with 100% certainty will have the team that ends up going up against Kentucky in the Final.

H1 I cant agree with you this time, UK didn't dominate Louisville. The Cards missed a bunch of open shots while shooting less than 28% & still only lost by 8. Both defenses controlled the game.

Calipari no doubt remembers the 2010 WVU Elite 8 game. Anything can happen ......

UK was awesome in 2010 too. But WVU was very experienced, they were on a run of their own, and they threw an unexpected defense at UK that the 'Cats struggled with (literally no 3-pointers made for the first 36:00).

I think that's the formula this year too --- very experienced team that (somehow) puts the defensive clamps down. Wichita St & Louisville do sort of fit the bill. As the UL fans said, they gave UK a serious run back in December, despite playing poorly on offense themselves.

Elsewhere in this thread were mentioned Notre Dame & Iowa State --- I think UK would destroy both. Have to be very strong defensively vs. UK, but those two aren't.

West Virginia lost their starting point guard the day before that Elite Eight game to a broken foot. They had to use a back up, who logged barely any minutes all year, in the Elite Eight.

Calipari --- the genius --- with not one, but TWO point guards that would be drafted in the first round of the NBA draft that year --- didn't press WVU at all.

Any middle school coach in the state of Kentucky wins that game, and eventually the championship, because they press the hell out of the mountaineers for 40 minutes, and win going away.

You don't need to make any 3 point shots when you're running a lay up line.

John Wall and Eric Bledsoe should have been unleashed. They weren't. UK lost.
