Sosa made a really poor decision on the last shot but on the other hand we wouldn't have been in a position to win without him. Padgett and Palacios were invisible, but the freshman stepped up today other than the end. We simply didn't have the best player on the floor tonight, Law is as clutch as advertised. It was painful to watch in person but on to next season.

If we miracously manage to have a healthy offseason (It'd be the first under Pitino) and we don't have unexpected defections, I think UofL can be really good next season. The only scholarship SR we lose is Brandon Jenkins, who is our best defender among the guards & had needed experience on the team, but only averaged 5 points a game.

The difference between D-washed up and Sosa is that Sosa didn't have freethrows with no time left on the clock. I'm not mad a Sosa at all, that kid has a tone of heart and has ice in his veins. He's one more games for us than he has lost. Our veteran players is who needed to step up. You should never have to ride a freshman through a game and expect for him to actually win it for you. He was the reason why we had a chance to win. I have to give A&M credit because they have a very solid team. They remind me somewhat of the 05' Louisville team that went to the final four. They have a lot of veterans in the backcourt and solid front court players. A&M will be a tough at for anybody. Overall I'm happy with our season, this team next year should be SCARY SCARY good.

No the BIGGEST difference between Sosa and D-Wash was he did not taunt the Louisville bench and players on the court AND he did not yell out it OVER to his coach like Washington did.

But we left Memphis and C-USA Basketball that day with a Conference Title AND with Memphis OUT of the NCAA and D-Wash crying his eyes out. Could not happen to a nicer bunch.

Your memory sucks man. D-Wash looked over at Cal and told him "I got this". That isn't yelling, but confidence. He didn't yell at y'all or Cal.

As for that last line. I have friends who are louisville fans and they are pure pricks about sports. If I had to base this loss off of them in regards to sports, your "couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch" would fit in perfectly.

I also wanted to see louisville in the sweet 16.

Weird, but true. They go to church with me so I kinda have to like them.

There is no DWash/Sosa comparison. The DWash game was a title match between two long time rivals with an NCAA bid on the line and no time on the clock. Not to mention it was the last game in the series. Sosa carried louisville in that game and will be back next season. This Louisville team will win the Big East next year and be in the final four. Put it in your sig.

I'm sorry, but when it is convenient you can say that. Face it, just like D-Wash, Sosa choked. With a chance to put the game away, he choked. Good news though, he'll be stronger because of it, as was D-Wash. Anytime you carry your team and hit 15 straight FT's and then miss 2 straight in a pressure situation it is a choke. But he'll bounce back and be really good.

Sorry camaro but Memphis fans are reaching beyond belief to try and heal an old wound. There are so many differences it is ridiculous. They have been listed above, so no need to rehash. I'd say the #1 is Sosa didn't make an ass of himself on national TV by proclaiming the game over.

As for anyone continuing to proclaim identical situations, I'd advise against it. It looks foolish.

Sosa missed free throws with pleanty of time left in the game and Louisville had a shot to win in the final seconds. There simply is no comparison.

What is his free throw percentage? He choked. I'm not trashing the guy, because it happens. I like y'all so I am not to hard on it, but my friends who are louisville fans are going to get hell from me tomorrow when I see them. After the $hit they put us through, they deserve it. Then again, they can dish it but can't take it too well.

As for the "he made a ass out of himself on tv". Why is it him being a thug because of over confidence, but if anyone else says "I got this coach" it is just confident, whether or not they make the shot or miss it?

Explain that please.

I never used the word thug, just said that he made the situation way worse for himself by his actions. That's why it was funny. He said he was going to deliver and did not.

As for you giving UofL fan friends a tough time, if its in general over just losing, I can see that. If it has anything to do with Sosa, you fit the tee of what I said, Tiger fans desperately reaching for anything to ease that heartache. Its quite sad actually!

Still being in the tourny, while watching your birdies get bounced has eased it for me. ;-)

Seeing you guys in CUSA makes me laugh.LOL You made it to easy for me Bambu. On a more serious note, good luck with A&M. They are probably the toughest 3 seed in the tourney. Plus they play mistake free, one think they won't do is beat themselves. They remind me alot of our 05 final four team. A veteran back court with some good pieces all around. Should be a interesting match up, but if you guys try to do any of that one on one stuff it will be a long evening. The good thing is they do tend to foul alot. Not quite as deep as most teams but there top 7 is as good as any. We already know Acie Law is a stud. Plus they get a game in there backyard.

Not to ease heartache, but I might have to bring it up. You don't understand the $hit they talk to us. You would think that we are dogs and not worthy of table scraps. Kinda gets under skin every now and then. If you got talked to as I do, which it may happen to you, any chance you get to do the same back is when you would take the chance.

I admire the sh$t talking honestly. It doesn't take much to bring up the head to head. I think we are up what? Like 17 games on you boys? 51-34 something like that. Say what you want but its easy to break out the wins and losses over the years. Head to Head we have owned you. I admit I am the same way with UK fans, it bothers me because I know they own us but its still fun to talk smack with them. They way we treat you folks is the way UK fans treat us. If you guys talk smack thats easy to brush off because we own you. You can't get upset if a comeback line is the head to head, or past accomplishments. My smack is always going to stay along those lines.

I guess that makes sense. The guys I'm talking about though are just pricks about it. When talking to y'all about basketball, as long as we aren't who y'all are playing, I'm fine with y'all doing well. I wish we would fire R.C. and play y'all again some times. I wish we'd fire R.C. all the time. ;-) . It is just the way these guys are to us. I honestly am not like this to any other fans except on game day, maybe TN fans, but they are like roaches. I can't describe the way certain fans make certain programs look. I know y'all have the same views too, cause we have some stupid stupid fans too.

As for you giving UofL fan friends a tough time, if its in general over just losing, I can see that. If it has anything to do with Sosa, you fit the tee of what I said, Tiger fans desperately reaching for anything to ease that heartache. Its quite sad actually!

I was just messing with ya uofmcamaro. Cincy, Louisville, and Memphis, are three city schools that have basically been joined at the hip for decades. We all reside in states where we receive very little respect from the evil Big State school. I think some fans on both sides take things "way" to seriously, if I talk smack its out of fun. I have always said Memphis deserves "much" better than CUSA. When you have to fight for national respect because of a league is silly. You should never have to ask for respect if you are winning. I hear ya man some fans take these rivalries way to serious. We aren't as bad as Yankee and Red Sox fans but we have some border line crazy folks on both sides. I hope you don't have to work with any UK fans. I know I work with a couple of UT fans and they may be as bad as UK fans.

Oh, I took you as messing with me. And I feel your pain my friend. Working with UK fans. It must be nice for them as I have learned that if you are UK fan, your $hit don't stink.
