Rice isn't going to do anyone wrong. Bailiff is an average coach, but he has had more than enough success to be allowed to depart on his own terms. He's done his job. Next year, we'll qualify for another bowl game that we can win, and Bailiff can go out on top. Both parties are probably ready to move on. The environment is stale. We need new blood. The same thing happened to Hatfield. Nine years is a long time to spend at one school, especially if you're getting old.

There have a lot of recent tweets from guys saying they're happy to receive their first D1 offer from Rice. Seems like for the most part we're either targeting guys we think will blow up later or under the radar guys again.

Ah...so we have two mystery additions and one missing player. I am not terribly concerned about Jonathan Sanchez. Both Vance McDonald and Luke Wilson were grayshirts and by all accounts he can use the extra time.

A couple of observations however:
Will Philips looks huge (back row, far left).
Sam Glaessman looks closer to 6-4 now.
Javante Hubbard looks taller than 6-0.
Uzoma Akunebu looks closer to about 5-10.
