That's one reason why FIFA likes the USA as a World Cup venue. 1994 still holds te attendance record. An 80,000 seat stadium half full is not a great look, but it's still 10,000 more people than a 30,000 seat stadium full.

well... what FIFA "likes" is directly proportional to what FIFA gets paid on the sly... I think that's the big lesson of how Russia and Qatar were "selected" as World Cup venues. Same goes for the Olympics committee, and the US is not immune to paying tribute.

Back to the locker rooms, the budgets seem to be something like this:
  • 40% - One Large backlit logo on the ceiling so that "no-one steps on the logo"... there are probably some very successful salesmen that have made a lot of money with those five words
  • 30% - Plumbing and buildout
  • 10% - nice chairs
  • 10% - Televisions, electronics (playstation, wifi, and the like)
  • 5% lockers by IKEA
  • 5%==> up through as much as the salesmen can get out of the athletic department, owner, etc. ==> Personalized nameplates, Shiny Stuff, and gratuitous LED lighting
