Any Purdue fans here? I'll be going to west Lafayette for the Purdue-OSU game this year, how is the stadium and tailgating? I'm looking forward to the game. Hopefully, it is another classic like the past 2 seasons have been.

Well parking is broken down with Parking passes close to the stadium, I am in LOT D, this is a pre paid pass lot on the Northwest part of the stadium.
Now I know to the North of the stadium there is private parking at yards in the neighborhood , these yards charge 5-10 dollars and reall close 15 on Cherry lane.
But w/o pass you don't get on the paved parking area designated for Purdue fans.

love when Ohio St. does the script, the number one entertaining thing done in all of college football, Have been to the Shoe (99/01)and also seen them do it at Ross -Ade but not for some time.
Not the best Band , but the most memorable thing done by a band.

It's a well know fact that Ohio State has "the best damn band in the land". Anyone who says otherwise is in denial.

so it is not the best band in the land but the best damn (which means going to hell) band in the land.
Hey it is you guys who brought that up.
I would think if a schools Band has
"ALL AMERICAN MARCHING BAND"
is better than someone saying
"best damn band"
Boilers band outperforms them each year, just like our football team will do this year on the field.

Dude, no.
How many people know that Purdue had an All-American band last year? Probably nobody. If you go to Texas and ask ten random college football fans who has the best band in the land, most will say OSU. It is just an accepted fact.

Purdue has had that for more years than you are old.
It is apparent you haven't got out of the state of Ohio and over to W. Lafayette or paid attention (the common problem of most kids) when we come over to the Shoe.
THE BOILER BAND IS THE "ALL AMERICAN MARCHING BAND"
that is fact whether Red necks down south know or redheads in Columbus.

You need to get around more. Nobody cares about or even knows who wins the "All American Marching Band." The OSU band is accepted as the best band across the nation. Everywhere I have lived, whether it be Columbus, Houston, Boston, or Chapel Hill, knows it. It takes years and years to get that recognition. Purdue isn't going to take it away with one little award.

The only thing people know about Purdue's band is that giant drum. I have been following Big 10 football all my life and have never heard of "all american marching band".
"We've always had the best damn band in the land. Now we have the best damn team in the land,"
-Jim Tressel, after accepting the national championship trophy.

Having a band that is damned is nothing to be proud of.
And if you were as smart about Big 10 schools and football, you would know that Purdue's Band is called the "All American Marching Band".
Try going on a message baord that can tell you try GOLD AND BLACK ILLUSTRATED, there you will be told that what I say is correct.

Cincinnati's baseball stadium is the Great American Ballpark. Is it the greatest ballpark in baseball? It must be, according to you.

Great American doesn't keep someone from being even greater.
Sorry!
There are many great football players, but to be called the "ALL AMERICAN MARCHING BAND" means they are the best, not damned as the OSU team is.
But I do like the script, I will and have admitted I like that one performance.
But that little band cannot make it " ALL AMERICAN"

Little is one of the last words I would use to describe the Buckeye band.
All I am saying is travel around the US and ask people who the best band is. Bands are about reputation, not little awards or nicknames.

Here go have one on me , because that itty bitty band of yours who couldn't carry a note in a bucket doesn't impress anyone anywhere save for the one song with the script, other than that there isn't enough folks to play ole Susana worth your weight.

OSU BAND HAS ABOUT 250 MEMBERS, THE Purdue band about 400 you have a scrawny little band, not just a little band.
Yes I would call the OSU band the best of the damned bands, but that doesn't save them though.
PURDUE ALL AMERICAN MARCHING BAND!
The very best band in the land.

If we could find a wee bit of quality amongst the OSU band it might allow them to be better than the quantity of Purdue band members with more quality alone in the windpipes section.

RE: Boiler Up!
I just returned from my first trip to Indiana where I saw the Purdue baseball team beat Illinois-Chicago, 11-4. The Boilers have a great baseball program. Purdue is an impressive university and the people of Lafayette and West Lafayette are very nice.
