If there is 1 reason Carey wont get a higher level job, it could be this QB handling alone. I have never seen such an F-squared situation in my life.

you are nuts. you are the only who does not understand coachspeak. In the end who was the correct QB selection last year? hare. After record setting QBing for 2 years he gave more looks to the incoming QBs to make sure what he had.

MD, the result of the coaching staff's "epic screw up" last year resulted in a conference title.

Yeah, their Spring ball doesn't start up for a couple weeks but I'll bet the handling of their QB position isn't a clusterf*** like ours.

RE: UPDATED: Spring Roster/QB Competition Open Again
I know nobody really needs reassurance that Hare is the guy other than MD, but it sounds pretty clear he's the guy.

http://www.huskiewire.com/articles/2015/.../index.xml

Quote:“That's the weight of the quarterback,” he said. “It's the way football is. Being the quarterback is like being the center fielder on the Yankees. You're the guy.”

Last season, Hare finished with 2,322 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, two interceptions and 900 rushing yards to help lead the Huskies to their fifth straight 11-win season. However, according to Carey, he still has plenty of room to improve.

“Drew obviously grew a lot this season,” he said. “He'll be the first one to tell you this, I'm not speaking out of school here, but he has some improvement to do. He has to get better. He's not satisfied with where he was at the end of last year. He wants to move forward and he already has from what I hear and see in the weight room.”

Also notes that Tommy and Beebe won't practice much, which should come as a surprise to nobody.

Chambers is 285lbs? WOW... Our Dline has gotten big in the last couple of years. There is a lot of talent on D - competition will be stiff at all -3- levels.

Why has the website not been updated? and where did that gut getacopy of the new roster?

If they're going to continue the 8-man rotation with the O-Line, in which Myers & Ruka both saw playing time last season, my guess for the 2 that get rotated in this year are Dale Brown Jr. and Max Scharping.

I think we are going to have some young players really step up this year on the D-line. Mosley and Corley are two I'm looking forward to seeing especially with the weight they've added.

Sean Evans before Dale Brown. Evans was higher rated and Dale Brown was a TE in HS. JMHO.

What they were coming out of high school really doesn't matter at this stage.

While I think that Evans will turn out to be the better player, he's going to be the backup center this year and Ness was the only guy who wasn't rotated at some point last year. Doubt they put Evans in at guard when that won't be his spot in the future.

They'll have an opening at guard next year once Conlon graduates too, so they need to break in someone who's going to play at that spot next season and Dale's probably at the top of the list at this point.

+1 BB....ratings out of HS means nothing at this point in time. The best 5 play and rotate as and if needed.

I think NIU's defense is going to be the story of the season, it could really be a good group. For some reason I think Albert Smalls is going to be the next big thing on defense.
