Awesome!!

Get to raise a banner!!!

Not the banner anyone wants. Same record as last year when we were the #3 seed. As in 97-98. it won't mean much if we don't play much better beginning Saturday.

I realize that one has a March Madness berth and one doesn't, but how a team does over 30 games in the regular season is more meaningful to me than how they do in 3 games in 3 days in March. Shaver has said the same. Tournaments are heavily influenced by luck. You don't generally luck your way into winning a conference regular season.

Congrats to our guys!

First time ever for a 4 way tie atop the CAA at the end of the regular season. Also, the five teams with sub-.500 records this season all have good young nuclei. Should be interesting the next couple years.

Now, let's go to Charm City, play some freakin' D and win three!

Updated CAA rankings and the updated 2015 CAA tournament bracket-- Looks like an awesome road for the Tribe!

We're a combined 7-1 against all our potential opponents up through the semifinals. Doesn't mean everything, but certainly can't hurt. LET'S GO TRIBE!!!

All true and valid points. The problem is the fans/media/coaches/players all know of & feel the pressure of being in the "forgotten 5". Shaver has said it's not their burden. He is right, but unfortunately until the NCAA tournament is made it is their burden to bear. It's not fair, it just is what it is. Being close just stokes the fire. This team carries the hopes and broken dreams of Tribe fans & former players. Again, it's unfortunate that the pressure to make the tournament is there, but there is no avoiding it.

There should be a banner for the regular season championship for this season and the 97-98 season. I can't believe they haven't added one for the 97-98 season yet. It's not like Kaplan is overrun with championship banners.

That is wrong. When your postseason history is two NIT appearances in 40+ years, another NIT appearance means a lot. Also, getting to a position where the worst case scenario is an NIT bid is a significant achievement.

RE: Congrats to the Tribe ... CAA champs!!!!
The Tribe D is lead by Tarpey, when his intensity creates steals it kick starts the team. Dixon may be our best 1-1 defender but Tarpey is the leader by example. Marcus needs to come out with the mindset to drive and shoot the ball like he did in the first half of Towson game, it was obvious he wanted to get the record behind him and he took charge-often he does not do this until the second half. Pewitt had a horrible game today so hopefully it is out of his system. WE must block out and not get killed on the offensive boards so better center play is also needed
.

We have a great advantage with the noon game Saturday as our opponent will just have finished their Friday game around 8pm. Let us all turn out in Baltimore --got my tickets and room!

Agreed but we need to get the NCAA monkey put to bed

I don't think anyone is pulling for an NIT bid over an NCAA bid.

RE: Congrats to the Tribe ... CAA champs!!!!
Hey, this team EARNED the championship and I, like others, celebrate it, our first ever in the CAA.

They earned it over a season, beating the best teams over and over.

Our guys can drive you crazy, but when they play well they are, by far, the best team in the league.

Now let's really put it together for the Tourney. We can do it.

Correct ... but an NCAA bid, or bust, philosophy does this team, and it's accomplishments, a disservice...and I'm glad that there will be a post-season reward for this group.

I will also add this. While I hope they win the CAA tourney, and get to the NCAA tourney, I'm not sure they're an NCAA tourney team. An argument could be made that this group over-achieved this year. I think they're a power forward "short", and don't play championship defense on a nightly basis. Slaying the monkey is the only thing at stake, IMO, and as Tony has said, that is not this group's burden.

Looking forward to the weekend ... got as good a chance as anyone!
