So St John's wins by 11 and they are now a lock. 5 down.

Xavier up early on Nova- if they win, they become lock #6.

After that, it's on to the seedings!!!!

Also with the result, Villanova has clinched the #1 seed for the BET. Worst case they are 13-5 with Butler at 13-5, and Nova has the head to head sweep.

as impressive as St John's was on Saturday- think a win today over Marquette after they felt safe was even more impressive. Now maybe out of that 8-9 quagmire.

RE: St John's in
One concern about St John's is how beat up they are right now, due to the short bench. Branch didn't play last night, Obekpa hobbled out with two minutes left on his bad ankle, and I still don't think Harrison is 100% either. I don't want to see them in the 8/9 game, but I'm not sure an extended run in the BE tournament is good for them either. My main concern is seeing them healthy for the start of the NCAA tournament.

I'd almost say just winning 1 game in the BET would work wonders for them even.

Think best case scenario for them is they get boat raced on Saturday and Lavin plays bench a lot of minutes. Given it's Nova's senior day- going to be a real tough place to win I think.

RE: St John's in
One thing about tomorrow with the timing- St John's will know going into their game if they have anything seeding wise to play for.

If Georgetown loses, Butler wins- St John's could move up to the #3 seed.
Anything else and St John's would be locked into that 4/5 game regardless of the result with Nova.
Why?
Georgetown wins- Georgetown and the PC/Butler winner would have 12 wins.
Georgetown loses, PC wins- St John's with a win moves into a 3 way tie with Georgetown and Butler. Georgetown 3-1, Butler 2-2, St john's 1-3 in the tiebreak.
