The expanded arena will have 3,200 seats as well as 10 suites and upper-concourse standing-room-only areas.

That is great news! Most of the games that I have attended have been sellouts. To have that interest in a club sport is fantastic.

It's gotta pump up the players and coaches. I'm sure their success played a large part in the decision.

I don't see anyone way that we go scholarship in men without women at the same time. It doesn't make sense to make this type of investment without serious consideration for stepping up. The collegiate hockey scene is buzzing about this news especially in light of the recent Arizona State decision to go NCAA.

well they have mens and womens teams in all the levels of the ahca so I could see them definately making both mens and womens going to an ncaa level would be more exposure to the school and kids playing hockey could inturn help create interest in the schools up North. All in all big win for the school

And we could actually use our womens program as leverage for conference admission.

Who knew the post of Feb 1 on this board about the status of club sports would move so quickly. This is exciting news.

We easily could average 4-5K per game. Might need more seats?

I've gotta create some business that justifies me making the 3 hour trip to LU to catch a baseball game. I believe hockey season is almost over. I've always enjoyed the games.
