The three-year agreements are optional and they are a PLEDGE. the money will still be collected annually. Packets will all be mailed by end of the week. We'll also be having a chat with Tim Rice (HAF) and Chris Radford (Tickets) on NIUHuskies.com early in March, another way to get your questions answered. Please keep checking the website for information, or ask us on Twitter @NIUAthletics or Facebook (NIU Huskies).

Sounds great and, as always, thank you, Huskie Info!

this appears to be well thought out and has something for everyone. game Day tickets are much higher but I think the purpose of this is to encourage the purchase of season tickets. Have to get people to commit to the program.

Living out of state, I usually only get to one game a year on campus and I generally buy 4 or five tickets for family members. Ouch!

I heard from a couple people that the coaches club was a rip off last year. And now they raise the price for new people. really thought about getting a couple passes if they kept the same price. Interested to see what the demand is for the coaches club after year 1.

TIME TO RENEW 2015 NIU FOOTBALL SEASON TICKETS, DONATIONS
First time buying season tickets this year. How does everyone like the bench back seats? That seems to be a good value, after factoring in four ticket prices and HAF donations. I'm splitting it with one other person and it was a little difficult process to explain (3 year commitment discount, when payments are due).

Any feedback or suggestions on bench back seats? What rows are these seats?

The only way to get tickets to the NIU/OSU game is by being a donor or season ticket holder.
They will not be sold to the public.

Goal line season ticket for $99 - West side Sections A and G first 30 or so rows. No idea what that does for the Visitor seats who have been in Section A.

I've had chairbacks for awhile. I definitely like having a dedicated seat and something to lean back on. I'm in row 18, right on an aisle and the view is pretty good except when someone is coming up from the gate and standing in the aisle. If you can get something around row 35, I think you would be pretty happy.

I'm not 100% certain, but I believe the benchbacks are sold out. There is a waiting list for both benchbacks and chairbacks.

I heard from a friend that the Skyclub is okay but not all that great, either. The "padded chairs with armrests" are folding card table-like chairs not anchored to the ground. He also said that it is not all that easy to navigate your way into the Skybox to get food and not easy to get back to your seat with a plate full of food.

The center section of benchbacks starts at row 24 (please note that row 24 of the regular bleacher seats is closer because the premium section has more leg room per row)

The left and right sections of the benchbacks starts at row 19.

The highest benchback row in all 3 sections is row 35.

These are great seats if you like to watch most of the game sitting down. Not saying its right or wrong but just want you to know that the people sitting in that area enjoy to sit for most of the game.

You will have less obnoxious drunks around you in the premium section.

If you were interested the Coaches Club would be just off the lower gate from the premium section which would get you to the closes bathrooms. Otherwise the gate just at the benchback seats will zig zag you down to the basement bathrooms that the rest of us enjoy...even the legendary main Mens bathroom off the Southern Concourse with the trough.

I have sat in the benchback seats for the 2010 Toledo game and it was nicer than the regular bench seats. I however definitely think the chairbacks are much more comfortable.

Hope that helps

I wish those people would have shown up to the Saturday games last season.

Best chance is to call the ticket office now and if they are not available then get yourself on the short waiting list. People are moving seats all the time.

Hopefully that does not turn off people for when the real skybox and sky club opens in the next few seasons.

I think this is great. I have a family of 5. For me to go to ONE game, it would cost $210 ($42/ticket). If I went with the mini-plan, I would pay $375 for the three games. If I go with the family plan, I would pay the same $375 for ALL six games. Granted, my kids won't go to the November weeknight games, but that is when me and my buddies will go.

They are doing exactly what any big college program does... build up the season ticket base.

I like the creativity and the fact that they are catering to families.

We don't have the draw though for that. Most casual fans are not going to look it at like a message board poster does. They are not going to buy season tickets, they are going to see that it will cost them $200 for their family to go to a game against Murray State, and stay home instead.

I am all for giving season ticket holders value and "protecting" us. But doing it in value added services, other opportunities rather than scaring away people who balked at $25 tickets and $30 tickets in years past.

No casual fan is going to want to attend the Murry State game at any price. The market has proven that.

However, pay $168 for tickets for a family of 4 to go to the UNLV game as a home opener or Homecoming is not out of the question.

That's exactly my point... and they are hoping that the family will then say "for an extra $132, I can get tickets to SIX games? Even if I just plan on going to two games, I am ahead of the game!"

Yup. Last year we had 5 games and you broke even with season tickets by going to 3 of the 5 games. This year we have 6 games and still are breaking even by going to 3 of the 6 games.

And actually if you wanted to go on the cheap you could get the $99 season ticket or $299 Family 4 Pack.

Yep... I am talking about the Family Plan (sorry for my lack of clarity).

< $50 to attend a single kane county cougar game for a family of 4. NIU just priced itself out versus a comparable sports option. I get the whole commitment thing, but you have to have fans who are clamoring to get scarce tickets to pull this off. Prove me wrong.

what you want is fans and families to buy season tickets and hope they circle those 6 gamedays and make them their activity. Absent a family event, that is what you are doing on those days. If you can mix in a road game or two even better.
