A win by MTSU will make both 9-5 while UAB will be 10-4, giving us essentially a two game lead with 3 to go, since we beat both of them. Almost locks up third unless we loss two of the next three.

Middle Tennessee wins. hill toppers have lost four straight. I guess they aren't as cocky on the CUSA board as they once were.

Middle will be tough Saturday. This week off will really help us get Tosin and CJ healthy.

I believe WKU and ODU play once more, so I think we just need to win one more to guarantee a top 4 seed. It would be really nice to finish top 3 because that will likely allow us to avoid ODU and WKU in our first game.

Middle layer of the conference still has a lot to play for to determine seeding. As MB pointed out, we need two wins to lock up the 3-seed.

But who might we face in the quarterfinals? Team standings with remaining games:

4) ODU 2.5GB @Rice, @UNT, Marshall, WKU
4) WKU 2.5GB FAU, FIU, @Charlotte, @Old Dominion
6) MT 4GB @UAB, @FIU, @FAU
7) UTSA 4.5 GB @USM, @LT, Rice, UNT
7) UNT 4.5 GB Charlotte, ODU, @UTEP, @UTSA
7) Rice 4.5 GB ODU, Charlotte, @UTSA, @UTEP

The 4 spot is the Monarchs' to lose, but we all know what happens when you have to go to the Super Pit and Tudor Fieldhouse. UTSA could win 2 out of their last 3 and could battle MT for the 6 seed (UTSA beat MT head to head). UNT and Rice have the same remaining schedule; will they finish with the same record?

Right now my money is on UAB at the 3 seed, with UTSA as the 6 playing Marshall as the 11. We'll see what really happens.

UAB is 11-4.

Giddy Potts had another great game with 22 points. He's put up 50 points in the last 2 games and most likely sole the FOTW award from Cokely.
