RE: Other Important CAA games
Tribal "Brian Willliamsed" this one with some exceptional embellishment. If Spruill had thrown a shoulder into Shaver intentionally in that moment, Shaver would be on the floor and Spruill would have been suspended.

Bumped into him is a far more accurate description, and it also removes your implication of intent. He also didn't yell at Shaver. Hell, I don't think he had any clue who he bumped into. Probably thought he was the water boy. What I do know is this. Spruill was pissed about something, and was obviously jawing with someone.

So, yes, this should add some fuel to the rivalry if we meet again.

You're the only person who believes this. Why does that not surprise me?

And, this incident doesn't "add some fuel" to anything...it's not a rivalry if we beat you 100% of the time. It gets boring, actually.

And yet...here you are. Much like ECU fans coming around all the time then trying to pretend that we didn't matter, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Though in your case I think you believe said cake to be one from a former English King when it is actually an Entenmann's.

Also, one of your fellow W&M posters basically agrees with 82 on this one:

I agree, if it was a premeditated move, Shaver would have said something post game and Tribe players would have jumped in. Nice video catch though. I never saw that live. The only postgame dick move I've seen this year was when the Wofford coach didn't shake hands. It was Wofford, wasn't it?

Low blow on the ECU comparison. I thought we were friends.

If Addison looked straight ahead and "didn't see" Shaver, that may explain why he didn't shoot well that game. In any case, he knew he hit Shaver and, like you said, didn't apologize.

I can't blame Spruill for this, the guy fouled all game and it must be hard for him to stop pushing afterward. He probably kept fouling in the locker room and into most of the night. We can't expect him to just turn the foul switch off, right?

Also, I had a lip reading expert review the tape. Seems Spruill was yelling, "Feel my teal" to Eric Detweiler so I'm glad we cleared that up.

ECU is like a mixture of the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars. Just awful, obnoxious (Dolphins) inbred rednecks (Jacksonville) who don't win enough in any sport (Dolphins) to justify their trash talk, and also wear very, uh, "rainbow-esque" colors (both) if you know what I mean.

We like and respect you guys. But even you can't deny this could develop into a pretty solid rivalry. You guys currently have a 33-page thread about us on your board. I don't see one like that about JMU. Because hammers don't care much about nails. We're not a nail. Not anymore, at least.

Did he actually go to class or did he cheat his way through college like the rest of the UNC-CH athletics?
