Tribal is the epitome of a great moderator. A modicum of intelligence...the mindset of a smacker...a savant-like attention to detail. You should be so lucky.
I'll just add this. I don't need to be the Moderator because I already have a ton on my plate but I'll do what I have to do if need be. I'm a scientist, coach 2 basketball teams, a baseball team, Deacon at my chuch, youth AWANA volunteer and a family man. I do want our Moderator to be a Moderator and not a Smack talker. If you are a UNCW Moderator, don't go over to another board and talk smack. Don't represent UNCW like that because that's not the way it should be. Just to be clear...UNCW fans were considered classy because I didn't allow it to get stupid over at the Zone. AND, you guys can do what you want to do as far as posting. Just don't be a UNCW moderator and be a smack talker. That basically put me in it by association.
CG, you can have it, regardless of the voting outcome if you promise to keep guys from coming over here and talking Smack. And, you don't do it yourself. That especially goes for the usual ECU suspects. You know what the line is and if you don't, I'll remind you.

I know I'll have huge shoes to fill, and my work cut out for me. Additionally, I also know I have someone in you that will help guide me along the way. That's what has always been great about what we have at UNCW, and I'll look forward to continuing the great work that Bill did over at the zone. I will refrain from smack talk on other boards, will defend our proud institution with fervor, and will not post after too much drinking.
At anytime any of you think I'm doing a poor job or need a little direction fix, please feel free to pm me.

Some serious insecurity issues on the Hawks board. Hey, best of luck in your personal lives. I'll stay off your boards and be sure to return the favor.
I'm going to say one thing before everything gets too far out of hand here.
Tribal has been very welcoming to me both on these boards and in my personal life. I know and understand that many of you feel that moderators shouldn't be smack talkers, and as your representative on these boards I'll refrain. However, I do want you to know that Tribal is not like some of our ecu posters we dealt with on the Zone. He's a nice guy that is just enjoying our budding rivalry.
As we return to the top of the CAA, we should expect some ribbing from our CAA brethren. It's part of being devoted fans, and as long as personal language and gestures aren't flying back and forth we should let some of it roll off our backs.
Tribal has made class posts regarding our program on our boards as well as over at the WM boards. Additionally, he came over here after some went on the WM boards. He also takes heat from his own guys for flapping those gums of his over here so much.
Bottom line is that I don't want there to be a disgruntled disgust between our fan bases on these boards just as both programs are at the top again.
Let's all take a minute, breath, give some knucks, and enjoy ourselves as fans.
