My GF is very vocal and very against this, and she's been asking people at work what they think. They're too stupid to realize that while their kid can't be put into private school, but they'd be paying for someone else in the same boat.

Yep. Low income folks tend to be dumber (part of the reason they remain low income) - dumber people procreating generally spawn dumber children (genetics) - hence - we are generally birthing a dumber set of children. Great!!!! Bodes really well for the future.

Caddo Parish, the only blue Parish (in Louisiana) north of Chocolate City, is now running a "Voucher Program." What this means is that tax payers, like myself, will be paying for a couple hundred low income students (of the Parish's choice) to go to private school. So while I sit here and send my kids to public school, since I can't afford a private school, I'll be helping fund some shitbag family's kid to go to a private school.

However, as all of Shreveport's private school kids are pretty much rich, there has been lots of disdain for this program. They've blocked it for 4 years but this time it made its way through. I'm anxious to see what happens.

What will happen is the elite schools will raise the tuition if necessary so that the vouchers won't cover it. They will likely go to the lower level middle-class private schools that need the money and turn them to schit.

While it certainly isn't what I would call totally fair, my guess is that because both you and the GF work, the public school your kids go to isn't one of the sh!tty ones where these kids are trying to escape. So on balance, your kids still have educational opportunities similar to what the private school kids have. No?

It's every public school in Shreveport... My kids are in Bossier City but I'm still paying for it.

Immma gonna nip that one....

the human brain is a brain with major variances

I have an IQ deemed as "wasted".....

it's all relative....not all are rich and smart....not all are black and dumb....the ability to achieve is what is 'in question'

and I moved to missippy at the age of 9....

people are people....the non=secular believes in the singularity...the athiests are either 'deemed' devil or apathetic.....that in itself is tard thinking.....

either figure it out or die......

there is nothing else to say in relative terms.....

yeah, I'm that arsehole.....I pull almost every punch.....

Except that's not what's happening because environmental and nutritional factors affect intelligence far more than I think you realize.

Okay. Low income folks generally live in worse environmental conditions and have less to spend nutritionally as well - but don't tell me that genetics doesn't also play a significant part in intelligence. The fact remains that those at the bottom of the economic totem pole are procreating at significantly higher rates.

genetics is the fear....

it's the why that will be resolved at some point..

do not kid yourself.....

the ones with means will do whatever it takes to further the 'prosper'

I'm hardly the first to state such.....

I believe that will happen if certain things are allowed to happen.....therein lies the enigma (the when)

the how I've worked out....the when is my question...always has been...

I just finally said fk it...let's start laughing about 'it'.......

'it' is much more enjoyable as one flushes the holy roller (that's when you use the daily allotment and just jump in the shower)

Genetics does play a role, but like all the breakthroughs we were hoping to obtain through mapping the human genome, it seems a surprising degree of the physical manifestations of ones genetics are highly dependent on multiple environmental and social factors.

That the poorest people are reproducing the most is nothing new, and the facts are, we have to keep readjusting IQ tests every decade because the median score has consistantly crept up each year as described with the Flynn effect.

if one has studied neurology (and I'm hardly a brain surgeon), one would understand the brain has the ability to rewire itself over a very short period of time in the physical sense based on behavior over the same time frame....

as a whole, humanity is still just a bunch of dipshites trying to figure things out.....and that is okay.....that makes me smile....

the end result viewing from the logical side does not....

hence, titties!
