Keep in mind guys that all of this speculation will come to pass WHEN the new contracts are redone in a couple of years. What that means is that there will be many CHANGES that we could not possible see at this time. The Gator/Sun deal might not even exist as it is constructed right now.
My guess is that there will be a Tampa bowl if the Big East wants it. Whether it will have enough money to lure the Big 12 away from the Independence bowl is another matter, it may or may not.
ESPN likes these two bowl deals like Ft Worth/Hawaii, Gator/Sun etc and you may see more of those.
The hot rumor down here is a new pre christmas Alamo Bowl matching CUSA and the MWC, very much like what San Diego is doing with Holiday/Poinsetta.
If ESPN is involved in the Tampa deal it is HIGHLY likely that you will end up with a two bowl combo deal with Birmingham or the new Alamo slot, if that comes to pass.
