UNCW offered 6'5" Florida SG 2022 TJ Hurley
https://www.verbalcommits.com/players/t-j-hurley

Interesting they also have him listed at 6'6

If Buzz Peterson measured him, he'd be 6'8"!

(Remember when Buzz came on staff? Everyone magically 'grew' and inch and a half...)

Shoot with both hands-right or lefthanded jumpshooter and free throws and his brother was a total pain in the ass.

Looks like they are interested in two other Rock School players, including one that is 6'10".

RE: Basketball Recruit Updates
https://phenomhoopreport.com/commits-put...s-of-2022/

2022 Noah Ross (Trinity Academy of Raleigh) – UNCW

Ross was special at the camp. He was able to get his feet under him and then took off from there, with a 20-point performance in Game 2 and ended the day with an explosive 35-point performance in Game 3. The 6’7 UNCW commit did it all and really showcased his all-around game at the NC Top 80.

Ross was extremely aggressive on the floor, finding and creating his own shots, knocking down shots from the three, and putting it on the deck, and using his size to his advantage.

In a camp loaded with talent, Ross was one of the top-performing prospects at the camp and had scouts talking for sure which is why he took home some hardware from the event.

Nolan Hodge is also a good shooter/scorer and averaged 20 last year plus has a smooth game. Together they will really add a lot.

general observation, stats aside, he looks to be much more muscular than typical high school players his size. Having that strength to not get pushed around will help tremendously at the next level.

RE: Basketball Recruit Updates
That will come in handy against several of our CAA foes. The Huskies lineup is crazy big and Towson is always big too.

Hope the staff considers one more true big because last night's game showed how important rim protection is. Hawks have Kelly and McGriff next year but having 1 more wouldn't hurt matters since we are losing Baker after this year.

I was at this game -he looked good, will have to hit the weight room of course. Got in early foul trouble trying to guard Jacob Fisher the Hoggard point guard . I thought Fisher was the best all around player in the game -easily but Hodge has length and looks like he can be a catch and shoot guy . Didn’t handle the ball at all in this game .

RE: Basketball Recruit Updates
2023 Will Brimmer is on a visit to UNCW today. @brimmer_will @Coach_Campbell2 Feb12th.

https://phenomhoopreport.com/phenom-spot...-new-bern/

Player: Will Brimmer
Class: 2023
Height: 6’3
High School: New Bern HS (NC)

Stats: 21.7 points/ 8.2 rebounds/ 1.5 assists/ 2.4 steals/ 1.2 blocks
GPA: 4.07

Phenom Evaluation:

“Continuing onto a player that possesses all the necessary tools to appeal to various types of college coaches, Will Brimmer. He’s a long, wiry, athletic wing prospect with IQ and a fairly well-rounded skillset. Brimmer can apply scoring pressure in a variety of ways but is arguably at his best when attacking downhill or forcing turnovers, and getting out in transition. Coach Dre on Brimmer: “Will is a handful and not an easy cover on the offensive end. This kid’s ability to get downhill and just have his way is phenomenal!
