Looks like Steere's waiver will determine how much of a contender we are next season.
If our hopes are pinned on whether a waiver will be approved or not for a guy at his 3rd school in 3 years... than that’s a failure of preparation, in my opinion. You can throw whatever other excuse at that you would like, but I’m not feeling it.

No excuses, I get it. I've stated my opinion on him prior and no need to rehash it. I think we know where we both stand at this point.
Ahhh. My man. I didn’t mean to make that post so directional at you. That wasn’t my intent. I apologize if it came off that way. I shouldn’t have used “You...”
Anyways, I know this is the minor opinion but I want to see if Siddle can COACH. We all know he’s a daggum good recruiter. We also know he’s selling the Keatts years because that’s the last time we had strong success, and he was on staff. I get that. There’s nothing wrong with that.
However, I want to see if HE can coach. That is a large unknown to me right now, and it’s the single biggest factor to if we will be successful in year 2, 3, or more into his time as HC. He’s able to recruit off the past right now. But if we don’t have a successful season next year... that recruiting gets a lot harder and players start seeing through the foggy glass. It’s the same thing that happened the last 3 years.
Lastly, I’m optimistic for him as HC. Hell, I’m excited about it. I’m just not going to pretend to be blind to the fact that we just said “No thanks” to a interm coach who we saw could win. He coached a relatively underwhelming team to wins regularly. A team that it appeared had lost hope, vision, and will to compete. He reignited that and proved he could win. Siddle will have to prove he can coach and win. I hope he can.
