would you say the poor defender is lack of effort, or skill?
I'm referring to on ball contain. Foot speed. If he plays the 3 spot he'll have some tough matchups. However, he's got a good basketball IQ and excellent touch as a passer. In the PAC-12 he was primarily a floor spacer 3pt corner shooter. But he has NBA range.

Never been sold on Skaggs as a starter for us simply because I'd rather see Estime and Sims get those minutes as they have showed signs of being good 3 and D players, just need to do it on a more consistent basis. If Skaggs would be willing to accept a 6th man type role, he'd be a good fit, other than that I don't see much there to get to excited about. At this point we need the bodies and experience though.

I'm on that same page. I would like to see our open slots go to 1 PG and the rest to BIGS.

Yep. I'm with both of you here. Need some size and that size needs to have good footwork and defensive upside.

Well, the spring signing period still has a couple of weeks left. So until that ends I will, as instructed by our moderator, trust. the. process.

RE: Recruit Updates
Our recruiting process is starting to resemble the same process that we implemented to improve our defense during the season - aka non-existent!

I trust the process, just not feeling optimistic about the results of the process. We will get players. But who?

Nice! Thanks Hawking... I really like Tolefree’s game FWIW... really good pickup. If we can land Sorolla it would give us a very versatile roster from top to bottom with a lot of different looks we can throw out there.

If we got Tolefree that excite's me a lot. Looked like an instant upgrade from Taylor and Fornes.

Looks like Shykeim Phillips committed yesterday as well... It appears the staff landed two players that will have immediate impact. Apparently Imajae Dodd reached out to Phillips after he received his offer and convinced him to go ahead and commit. This staff continues to win on the recruiting trail...
