I completely agree with you both about him doing a job job of getting in early, but come on guys. We all know that's not the case here. Let's call a spade a spade here
Not talking about Keatts kid. Just targeting talent that may be above our pay grade early in the process. As far as Keatts kid. Who knows? I don't know anything about him and neither do you. What are you going to say if he starts landing more mid major offers? Why not wait before making judgements?
I said i saw him play.................. unless something dramatically changes there not much to see
What you said was this> "completely agree with you both about him doing a job job of getting in early, but come on guys. We all know that's not the case here. Let's call a spade a spade here"<
Implication is this is a gift to KK, not that his kid is worthy of an offer. You have no idea and none of us do.
from what I have seen, it's nothing more than that

It could very well be helping him get some notice from other schools. But, he does still have two more years of high school. We jumped on Brian Rowsom. And look how that ended up. He's a coaches kid, which could be a plus in the long run.

Rowsom was 6'9, not sure how big he was when they offered but surely more than 5'10.
You might be onto something with your first point.

Hypothetically, would it be worth giving him a scholarship if it meant an under the table agreement for NC state to visit Trask?

Interesting thought, I mean, we have already had a mediocre ACC program come before in Wake, worth giving up a scolly for?

Not a great reason to me to burn one unless he can actually play at this level. You have to figure he would be a smart player for sure but does his game translate?

No. That would be despicable and I’d be disgusted.
Thankfully, it’s only a hypothetical here...

Keatts son earns uncw offer
Sports Illustrated: Keatts' Son K.J. Gets UNCW Offer
Notice any article out there says ZERO about any of his stats stats?
“A rising star”... on a team that won two games last season.
Oooooookay.
Seems on the surface like a waste of a scholarship in hopes of maintaining a close relationship to Keatts.

I had read elsewhere that Broughton is supposed to be much better next year and they're counting on KJ to be a big part of that. They also are getting a kid transferring from Ravenscroft.
I'm not mad about KJ getting an offer, but I'm as confused as everyone else. I have my on theory on how this will play out, but it's based on nothing other than my own imagination.

I wouldn't say i'm mad, just seems a bit suspect that's all.

I'm not mad. I just question it... for obvious reasons.
I'm also not surprised to see who here is NOT questioning it or concerned about the optics surrounding it.
