It looks like several 2021 offers extended today: Daylen Berry and Jordan Wildly included. Berry is a 6’4 guard from Cary and Wildly a 6’9 forward from Rock Hill. Looks like Wildly is at Moravian Prep with Harvey.

Coppin State transfer Brendan Medley-Bacon has heard from UNCW, but doesn’t have an offer. He’s a big, but would also need a waiver to be eligible next season.

Agree. I’m really hopeful with Harvey. Make it a hat trick and offer Javarzia Belton too.

Harvey and Steere are both from Fayetteville too, and both played at Northwood Temple. Harvey was a sophomore Steere’s senior season, but I can’t see that they were teammates.

I'm really, really hopeful about Harvey. I feel like we're in his top 2; hoping he is ready to carry on a tradition that the other schools can't offer.

Brandon Huffman is entering the transfer portal. No idea where he'll look, but he is an Eastern NC kid. His size and athleticism are unique. There are times that I saw him and felt that he would be perfect in the CAA and could have POY impact. There were other times where he looked stiff; slow on defense, bad hands and just clumsy.

Division I Council will discuss the implementation of a one-time transfer waiver on April 24. The Council will not vote on it that day, but a vote IS expected to take place on May 20. Told the measure is expected to pass and would immediately apply. Stay tuned.

It's unclear to me if this will impact winter sports, or just spring, but would be big if applied to Steere and maybe others.

Love how Teal Nation, our student section, tweeted back video of our student section when he announced his decision was coming...

Brandon Huffman from UNC in the portal. He is a decent big man but not sure about the fit on running the floor. Pretty good with his back to the basket though.

Especially after someone Tweeted the JMU flag etc at him. Just saw his final 4, big difference maker with 3 CAA teams involved.

He isn't eligible to play this next season...and UNCW needs another big this season, even if Steere is eligible to play. If Steere is not eligible, it would be disastrous to add a big that is not immediately eligible.
