My gut reaction was no, but she made a strong argument.

Joe Rogan and Dice Clay have been using fanny packs for years, and trying to fight off the image. Even Matthew McConaughey too. But none has been able to shake off the stigma. And it sucks, because turning your pockets into giant bags of sloshing crap isn't fun. Your wallet. Your smartphone. Your keys (and most guys have a lot of keys). Maybe some contact stuff. It's not fun carrying that in your pocket.

I tell you what...you speak the truth. Throw in the security wanding and it makes sense. The key is to wear it off to the side and stay away from cheap nylon ones which screams tourist. Ofcourse, I try to travel as light as possible so I don't wear one. I think the last one worn was a roadie to Pitt in '06. (Don't Judge...but it worked that day)


Ofcourse it all makes sense now: Fanny Pack wearers--->buy Lincolns--->drives and pitches Lincolns Matthew McConaughey

Although the hottie in the OP makes a strong case they are in again.

Fanny packs are good for hiding guns!

I can remember when I was in Junior High and the smart alleck kids would fumble around in their fanny packs in class as if they were playing with their balls (lol).

My father had a set of corporate fanny packs "xxxx Kids" from his job and he insisted that I where one to school and was deeply hurt when I refused to do so.

I got mine from a Thai bar in '97 for a Thai Beer Promotion...still have it tucked away in my closet somewhere.

If I traveled as much as those people, fashion be damned I would wear one. When I did stadium work whenever WWE came to town, those dudes wore all those things. And I am talking early/mid 2000's. Said if you travel that much, and you've ever lost your luggage (they all have), you realize how valuable it is to have close to you.

Why would you want to carry around a purse, when there are other perfectly viable options available that give you just as much storage space, if not more - and better organized too?
