Ray Watts cannot be trusted. When a university president loses the trust of the community - faculty, students, alumni, supporters - he cannot continue in office.

Football - players and supporters - has done one great thing that has gone unnoticed. Had we accepted Watts's fascist dictate quietly, some other academic program would be destroyed this year. That's now unlikely for the immediate future.

Ray Watts must go. He must go now.

What's bad is that he has full support of the BOT. Any UAB president with the full support of the BOT needs to go. That's why we must #FreeUAB.

The bigger issue isn't that he has the full support of the BOT, that was to be expected.

The bigger issue is that he has no support from anyone below him.

I cannot forget the pain I heard and felt in those football players' voices when this turd dismissed them the way he did in the football building in December, glad someone had the presence of mind to record it and put on the internet for the world to see what a scumbag he is, and we cannot relent until he is completely out of UAB's future and don't forget the BBA, either , they should be on our "menu" as well, if they don't remove him as Chairman Elect.

We must stay stalwart in our defiance. We must continue to keep this front and center in press, in media, and in the public's mind. We need to continue to win people to our cause with daily conversations about the truth and the evidence. The only caveat is that we must be forceful yet not come across as petty or whiny, nor as bullies. When questioned or when the BoT or their supporters state their support of Watts and/or the death of UAB football, then we restate the evidence to the contrary.
Watts and the BoT believe they can outlast this. We KNOW they can't. Their position has been undermined by the truth, but they stubbornly cling to their traditional power, like the stern of the Titanic before it plunges under. I don't know when, but they will go down.... Only if we stay together and strong.
