Only Dems would consider welfare something to be proud of.

In response to the same Cuban recommendation, the State Department also told the U.N. High Commissioner that 9 million people have signed up for Medicaid since October 2013—as part of the impact of Obamacare.

“In FY2014, we invested more than $103 billion in domestic food assistance programs, serving one in four Americans during the year,” the State Department told the U.N. High Commissioner.

“[N]early nine million individuals have enrolled in coverage in state-run Medicaid programs since October 2013,” said the State Department.

The State Department report was presented as part of the “Universal Periodic Review” that the U.N. Human Rights Council is conducting this year on human rights condition in the United States.

Why don't we just put everyone on food stamps? Old people are on fixed incomes. Middle-aged people have kids in college. Young adults are just starting out in their careers and they're making relatively low incomes. A compassionate government would take care of us.

Nope. I saw a Medicaid patient today with an iPhone. I've seen Medicaid patients before where the patient and parent are both playing on iPads.

Nope. I saw a Medicaid patient today with an iPhone. I've seen Medicaid patients before where the patient and parent are both playing on iPads.

You should have the honor of walking into the house of a medicaid patient who has the latest, greatest TV, gaming systems, stereo, and a yard full of tricked out cars. Plenty of times the oldest vehicle in the yard was the ambulance they didn't really need but called anyway.

So more than 1 out of every 8 Americans is so "poor" they can't make it without gov't assistance (a number, which already pointed out, has increased by nearly 300% under Obama)...but the economy is booming?

Well I know many that are on Food stamps had Their amounts reduced last year. So I guess it was to make room for all of those 5 million illegals to be brought into the system. After all, the money has to come from somewhere.
