he landed the Lawson's, Nichols, Goodwin, King, etc...I think he deserves (and earned) his chance with them.

the last 4 years, his recruiting, graduating players, APR...it makes me inclined to cut him a little slack (not that it matters, I don't pay his salary)...but at 2.65 million, not too much slack.

That's under keep him. You can revisit it next year if need be.

Well if the US's lack of voting patterns are any indication.

I voted for keep him.

But, my attitude has changed a lot since the beginning of this season.

Poll me in another few weeks and I might fall into the other category. Even those of us who are big fans of the guy, are starting to have some serious doubts...

Why do you have the poll set up where people can see he voted for what?

some things aren't black and white - there's no yes/no with a caveat which is part of the problem with this board. Everyone thinks you're 100% for or 100% against and while there are zealots on both sides, there are also rational posters.

I see lots of gray here myself. I would say that I think in deference to his good years previous (albeit with slightly less success that we would like, but success none the less), he gets next year and I think that is just.

But if the powers that be feel he is maxed out, then it would be best to move on.

That's really the question. "Can Josh Pastner become better and achieve better results on the strength of work ethic and improvement?"

If the answer is yes, he stays and gets more time to state his case.
If the answer is no, a different direction is needed.

I'm not a 100% on this question, so I am ambivalent. I do know I don't want a replay of this year any time soon...

Why think he'll be more success than he was with the loaded classes he's had the last several years.

Give a real coach Pastner's recruits and we might make a deep run in the NCAAs.

As this season started, I didn't think he was in trouble at all. After watching yet another team not be able to take a punch in the mouth, I think he has to go.

I call this OP BS. Just another poster who joins the long line of others basically saying the same thing ad nauseam.

We get it. You want Pastner fired. Give it a freaking break!

I really guess that depends on how many aliases you have

Stammers already thinks I've voted 10 times

Ncrdbl1 is already blaming the refs for the results of the poll.

To much invested in Josh to cut or fold now. If next year is a mirror image of this year then its time to admit he will not grow into the coach all of us wish/hope he will become. But for now, I say stay the course - take whatever lumps come our way this year - and measure his growth and ability by next years performance.

I'm in a bad mood. I have to bury my cat this afternoon when I get home. I'm voting to fire him. (Actually, I would have voted that way regardless. I'm just looking for sympathy from the Happy Clappers.)

if he throttles weak competition and gets blown out by better teams followed by an early post-season exit we will be rehashing the same arguments again next year with the same comments from both sides.
